Yes. You need to have an independant volume control for each pickup. Then you turn down the one you’re not playing on and switch between the two pickups.
and iff you only have two tone knobs 1 volume and 3 single coil pickups?
I don’t think you can do killswitch, then. If you really want one, they make killswitches that you can install on your guitar.
well im getting a mh-1000 last years modle will that be able to do it?
I’m not familiar with ESP guitars, but if it has two volume controls it’ll work.

I don’t know, since I’ve always used what was already on my guitar. It’s just a switch, so it couldn’t be that expensive. Look up killswitch and I’m sure you can find the price.
