man SG’s feel nothing like the les paul. the neck is in the ballpark but the rest of it just doesn’t have the chunk and heft that the pauly delivers.
i want a guitar that feels like its made out of something stout. SG’s just never seem to feel “right”.

For me a LP will always win out for humbuckers…I know they can be a good compromise but Im just not an SG fan and never will be.
I didn’t know what it stood for so i decided id say it meant ‘Sexy Guitar’

yeah i just put a duncan JB in a friend’s SG. it sounds great and plays great but i dont like the feel. its just like its made out of tissue paper or something.
i like heavy axes
its just that basic sweep arpeggio but he didnt play it super fast. just look for beginner sweep lessons and you should problably be able to find it

I personally never cared much for the SG. It just didn’t feel right. If I wanted a Gibson, I would probably go for a Les Paul.
always loved my sg, to those who don’t like it because of it’s weight, I’ll have fun jumping around and swinging it on stage whilst you stand still with your slab cutting into your ribs. i’m probs being provocative but really i love it for it’s sound, unless you’ve played both an sg and a les paul thoroughly don’t dis the sg for it’s body

at 4:13 it seems as though your bridge pick-up is loose.
