anything you could suggest?
Yes, mute the low E with your thumb and only play the four middle strings, kind of like the feel of a C chord. That will start giving you the strength to play the full F chord when you are ready.

ooow my dads guitar hurts right now its caught on my shirt and it just fell off my lap
hey buddy,thanks very much for the info I can play that f chord now,my finger is strong enough to hold those 1st two strings down nice and tight now,do you have any good tips for barring when ever i bar a fret the DG&B strings aren’t sounding right ,

Hi, I find i have a hard down holding all of the strings with some of the open chords, specifically the higher ones. My fingers just aren’t strong enough to keep them down for a long time. Is this a common problem and will I be able to improve upon it?
YES!!! By all means DON’T give up. Every great guitar player has had to go thru this. Time and practice!

i have small hand too but i can play without problem….have th same you must get a higher angle of pressing.:D
I have small hands too. I actually use extra light strings and I bought a 3/4 electric.
Ive noticed Metallica uses alot of Open Chords
um i dont know where to put my fingers!!!!
